Prayer

The Church Prayer Meeting

This may well be the most important meeting we have each month. Prayer shows our dependence on God, and so we cling to the phrase:

"when we work, we work, but when we pray, God works!"

Prayer meetings usually include refreshments, a Bible reading and a short message, a few hymns, and most importantly - a time to pray. Nobody is forced to pray out loud if they wish not to. It is a great time to receive prayer updates from our mission partners.

Upcoming Monthly Prayer Meetings:

Wednesday 6th March 7:30pm Loxwood Church Room

We pray for our witness as a local church, our community, and the world at large. Many find that listening to others during corporate times of prayer helps them to appreciate the closeness and reality of God working in their lives.

prOne of the highlights of our year, in the run up to Pentecost, is as a parish enjoying a week of 24/7 unbroken prayer. Even in the early hours of the morning, in our parish someone will be pouring their hearts out to God in praise and in petition. It's pretty special! Here's a picture of last year's 'Tree of Thanksgiving'.
