Dear Friends,
Happy New Year! And if you are reading this on Friday… a happy 9th day of Christmas!
There is plenty starting, or starting up again in the new year…
Luke’s Gospel - On Sunday we will pick up our sermon series in Luke. We have been working through Luke’s “careful investigation” of Jesus’ life for the past three years, and this term we will reach the end. We will reach his account of the cross and empty tomb as we head into Easter week in April.
Prayer - Prayer Central, our whole church monthly prayer meeting, is coming up on Wednesday 7th Jan - 7.30pm kick off. And our weekly Year of Prayer resumes again - 9-12am on Mondays.
Little Angels - Our Thursday Morning Toddler Group begins again on the 8th Jan. 10-11.30am. Come and join a friendly group of Tots and their parents!
Alpha - We have been praying for 25 people to join Alpha in Jan, and so far we have 19 signed up! Praise God! There is still time to come along if you would like to, and please do be praying for all involved.
We meet three times this coming Sunday.
8.30am | BCP Morning Prayer | Loxwood Church | Luke 18:31-43.
10am | Family Communion | Loxwood Church | Luke 18:31-43. with Kid’s groups and followed by coffee.
6pm | Evensong | Alfold Church | Psalm 143.

Pilgrim Groups
Pilgrim Groups are a place of deeper fellowship, where we support one another in prayer, and go deeper into God's word together. They will be starting up again in the 2nd week of Jan. If you are not already in a Pilgrim Group and would like to join one, please email Richard Allan or speak to him in church. richard@alflox.org
Prayer Central
Our 1st Wednesday of the month Prayer Meeting is coming up next on Wednesday 7th January. We will meet in Loxwood Church Room. We meet at 7.30pm for refreshments, 8pm to sing and pray, and we always finish by 9pm. There is never an obligation to pray out loud. God hears the prayer of our hearts just as well! Please do join us.
Year of Prayer
Psalm 127 says ‘Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain.’ Monday Morning | Alfold or Loxwood Church Room | 9am-Midday | Drop in Drop Out | Come and pray for God to build.
