Church Family News 18.01.26
Dear Friends,
One of the things that I love most about Jesus’ teaching is that it’s beautifully universal. He uses stories about fields and trees and families to make his point. It’s all stuff that we can understand no matter if we’re born in 1st century Jerusalem or 21st century England.
However, in our Bible reading this week, Jesus tells a parable that seems to compare him (not all that favourably) to King Herod Archelaus. Whose contested coronation happened in 4BC within living memory. The point of the story being: The King’s coming back, what will you do while you wait?
We meet twice this coming Sunday at St John the Baptist Loxwood. Where we will be in Luke 19:11-27. If you get a chance, please do have a read through beforehand.
8.30am | BCP Holy Communion
10am | Family Worship | with Kid’s groups and followed by coffee.
Everyone is welcome & we’d love to see you there!
With love in Christ,
Revd. James Forward
