Dear Friends,

This Sunday is a special one! As our very own Revd. Andy Beattie is being ordained presbyter.

We are going to be joined by Bishop Paul, who will be ordaining Andy. And by Bishop Peter Hancock who will be preaching for us from Acts 4:1-22 - Please have a read in advance if you get the chance!

Come along to support Andy, as he takes this next step in his ministry to us. And please be praying for Andy:

For the joy of the Lord in all he does.
For a trust in the Lord in all his work.
For a faithfulness to the Lord in all his teaching and pastoral ministry.
For a dependance on God’s Holy Spirit for his life of prayer.
For fruit and God’s abundant blessing in all he turns his hand to.
For a great love of the people he is being charged to pastor.
For all his family, and particularly Juliet, in her ministry to us.
And for great confidence and courage to proclaim the gospel to everyone he meets!

Why not pause and pray for Andy and Juliet now…

We meet once this coming Sunday in St John the Baptist Loxwood.

10am | Holy Communion & Andy’s Ordination | with groups for the kids & coffee afterwards.

Church Weekend Away(ish)

I want to say an enormous thank you to all who made our Church Weekend Away(ish) so special! If you missed it, you can still see the video of the weekend below.

Tim & Susie’s Open Garden

A big thank you to everyone who came to Tim and Susie Sherlock’s Open Garden. We raised £956 for Little Angels, and had a great time!

Book for the Summer - God’s Big Picture

As in previous years, Pilgrim Groups are going to take a pause over the Summer Holidays. And instead we are going to recommend a book for us all to read together.

This year it’s God’s Big Picture, by Vaughn Roberts. Reading and understanding the Bible as a whole.

Richard Allan has got a discounted price on a bulk order, and you can pick up your copy at the back of church from next week.

Little Angels

Is a group for parents and toddler to come & play, have fun, sing songs, learn about God, and make new friends. It meets every Thursday in Loxwood Church 10-11.30am. All are welcome!

Pilgrim Groups

Pilgrim Groups are a place of deeper fellowship, where we support one another in prayer, and go deeper into God's word together. If you are not already in a Pilgrim Group and would like to join one, please email Richard Allan or speak to him in church. richard@alflox.org

Prayer Central

Our 1st Wednesday of the month Prayer Meeting is coming up next on Wednesday 5th August. We will meet in Alfold Church Room. We meet at 7.30pm for refreshments, 8pm to sing and pray, and we always finish by 9pm. There is never an obligation to pray out loud. God hears the prayer of our hearts just as well! Please do join us.
