Dear Friends,

What gives us confidence to keep speaking about Jesus?

This Sunday we’re continuing in Acts, looking at chapter 5:17–42. It’s a wonderful and challenging passage. The apostles are arrested, threatened, and told to stop speaking in Jesus’ name. But God opens the prison doors and sends them straight back out with this command: “Go, stand in the temple courts, and tell the people all about this new life.”

The huge encouragement for us is that the good news of Jesus is not a man-made idea that will eventually fizzle out. It is God’s unstoppable message of new life. Jesus is alive, he is saving people, and he is still worth speaking about today.

So please do join us this Sunday as we hear God’s word together, and ask him to fill us with fresh confidence in the risen Lord Jesus.

We meet this coming Sunday at St Nicholas Alfold.

  • 8.30am | BCP Holy Communion

  • 10am | Morning Worship | with groups for the kids & coffee afterwards.

Everyone is welcome & we’d love to see you!

With love in Christ,

Revd. James Forward

The books will be available to pick up at the back of church on Sunday for £7 each.
