Church Family News 18.10.26
Dear Friends,
Where is your true home?
This Sunday we're continuing in Genesis 19, with the dramatic and disturbing true story of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. It's a chapter that confronts us with both the seriousness of God's judgement and the wonder of his mercy. God is determined to rescue Lot and his family, but strangely, they seem reluctant to leave! They've become so attached to the city that God is judging that they can hardly bear to let it go.
And that raises a challenging question for us: are we becoming too comfortable in a world that God has promised to judge? The Bible tells Christians that we are foreigners here. We live in this world, but it isn't our forever home. So this Sunday we'll be thinking about how to live with our hearts set on our true new creation homes that Jesus has won for us.
We meet twice this coming Sunday morning in St John the Baptist Loxwood.
8.30am | BCP Holy Communion |
10am | Family Worship | with groups for the kids and coffee afterwards.
Everyone is welcome & we’d love to see you!
With love in Christ,
Revd. James Forward

We are hiring for a new Kids & Youth Pastor! You can see our job advert here.
Please could I ask you to send the advert on to anyone who might be interested? And to pray non-stop between now and the 20th November (closing date), that this advert would find itself in front of the exact person of God’s choosing.
