During our Sunday services we meet to get to know God better, to praise Him together, and to therefore understand more about life and what our purpose is. This is our longing at all of our services, but we're able to do this in different styles, from the more traditional, to the more informal.
Our Informal Services - 9.30am at St. John the Baptist, Loxwood
Children take an active part in the whole of this service. Songs are displayed on a screen, usually including an action song. The service is never longer than an hour, and on the 2nd Sunday of the month we celebrate Holy Communion. Every week we hold 'Lionhearts' our Sunday School group for 30 minutes within the service. This creates a time when both children and adults can enjoy more age appropriate teaching.
Our Traditional Services - 11am at St. Nicholas, Alfold
These services take place in our Norman church building where worshippers have been gathering for many 100's of years. On the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays we celebrate Holy Communion with a mixture of Common Worship and Book of Common Prayer formats. These services are clothed with a robed choir and the organ. On the 2nd and 4th Sundays we hold Morning Prayer, which is slightly less liturgical, where a mixture of piano and organ led hymns are sung without the robed choir.
We also offer:
BCP Choral Evensong at 6.30pm
1st Sunday of the month at Alfold
2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at Loxwood
