'The Eagle and Child'
What's famous about 'The Eagle and Child'? Any Narnia or Lord of the Rings fans will, I'm sure, know the answer. 'The Eagle and Child' is the pub in Oxford where J.R.R.Tolkien and C.S.Lewis frequently met to discuss their writings and the Christian faith over a pint!
Although our parish doesn't hold 'The Eagle and Child' we are blessed with some charming country pubs, and there are a few of us who love discussing the deeper issues of life and faith over a tasty pint of real ale.
Why not come along to one of our 'Eagle and Child' evenings and ask those questions you have about Jesus in an informal friendly setting? We meet at 8pm once a month, alternating between 'The Onslow Arms' in Loxwood and 'The Sir Roger Tichbourne' in Alfold Bars.
Our next Eagle and Child evening will be confirmed soon :-)
p.s. you don't have to like real ale to come along! Tee Totalers welcome!
