Pastoral Care

We believe that every person is made in the image of God, and therefore every person is incredibly precious. With that belief in mind we're here to support anybody who is in need, whatever that need may be.

Life is a rollercoaster, full of twists and turns, and highs and lows. It may be that now you're finding yourself in a debilitating low. Bereavement, depression, marriage difficulties, ill health - any of these can make us feel helpless and overwhelmed. If that's you, we're here to help, and we recognise that every person is unique, which means that help might come in numerous ways.

Within our Pastoral Care team, we have the Incumbent, two Pastoral Assistants who've been authorised by Guildford Diocese, and an authorised Home Communion Assistant.

Having a fairly large team means that we're accessible and can offer: home visits, a compassionate listening ear, home communion, prayer, anointing with oil for healing, or we can point you in the right direction for more substantial help if that is what is needed.

It might also be that right now you're finding yourself way up high, ecstatic after the birth of a child maybe. Congratulations if that's you, and we know just how manic those first few weeks can be. It might be, that if you're particularly struggling with this awesome yet stressful new routine, that the church is able to offer you some meals brought to your home. Many a new parent has found this incredibly helpful.

If you'd like to receive some pastoral support please either phone the Church Office (01403 753821) or email Ruth Allan.
