Church Family News 07.06.26
Dear Friends,
This Sunday we are letting fete decide the topic of our sermon!
It’s the Loxwood Village Fete on Saturday 6th June 11am-4pm, and come rain or shine the church will be there to support and serve our villages. Do come along to show your support!
At our stall we are running “Let Fete Decide” a public vote to let the fete choose which sermon will be preached on Sunday. The choices are:
Why does God allow suffering?
Has Science disproved God?
Our prayer is that people will vote on the Saturday, and then come along to church on the Sunday.
Is this a good idea? Did we come up with the name we liked first and then reverse engineer the idea later? (YES). Will the Vicar be able to write two potential sermons ahead of Sunday? Will he be too concussed after soak the vicar to say anything coherent?
Come and find out!
We meet two times this coming Sunday morning in St John the Baptist Loxwood.
8.30am | BCP Morning Prayer
10am | Holy Communion | with groups for the kids & followed by coffee.
And we meet once in the evening at St Nicholas Alfold.
6pm | Evensong | Psalm 147
Everyone is welcome & we’d love to see you there!
With love in Christ,
Revd. James Forward
