january to easter 2024

24th March 2024 - 1 Corinthians 15: 12-25

Join us today, as our Rector, James, leads us through the second part of our Easter series in 1 Corinthians 15. He asks us two key questions about the resurrection of Jesus: What do we lose if we let go, and what we gain if we hold firm.

17th March 2024 - 1 Corinthians 15: 1-11

Join us today, as our Rector, James, leads us through the start of a mini Easter series in 1 Corinthians 15. Here, he helps us to understand why we need to stand firm for this gospel, and that our faith and hope must surely be placed in the resurrection of Jesus.

10th March 2024 - Luke 7: 11-17

Today, we have the second part of Jesus miracles of raising the dead in Luke 7, with our Curate, Rev James, as we see how Jesus is always present, and gets what we are going through, and that he shows us his true authority over death - that death is not the end for those who believe in him.

3rd March 2024 - Luke 7: 1-10

Join us as we embark on the start of Luke 7, with our Curate, Rev James, as we look at faith through the lens of a Centurion. He asks us whether we have heard about Jesus, reached out to him for help and placed ourselves under the authority of Jesus, learning how to surrender to him.

25th February 2024 - Luke 6: 43-49

We conclude the section of Luke 6, with our Curate, Rev Richard, bringing the section of Luke's gospel coverage of the sermon on the plain to a neat conclusion as we learn how to weather the test of time standing for Jesus by rooting our foundations deep in him and living the upside-down way of life (counter-culturally).

18th February 2024 - Luke 6: 27-42

Join us today, with our Rector, Rev James, helping us see how Jesus has turned the world upside down in the end of Luke 6; firstly as he brings mercy not payback - and because of the family likeness, and secondly he brings generosity not judgement - because we can't really see.

11th February 2024 - Luke 6: 12-26

We continue our series today, with our Rector, Rev James, leading us through Luke 6 and sharing how Jesus is the new Moses, bringing down a new law to a new Israel, that he is upfront about the cost of discipleship and that the cost of discipleship is worth it.

4th February 2024 - Luke 6: 1-11

Join us today as our Curate, James, opens up the stories of Luke 6, asking us how we can learn who Jesus says he is. The stories lead us to seeing Jesus as Lord of the Sabbath, and Jesus the one who fills us all completely.

28th January 2024 - Luke 5: 27-39

Today, Rev Richard leads us through the parables Jesus teaches on through the end of Luke 5, as we are called afresh to see that, through Jesus, we too can be a forgiven sinner like Levi, and also made into a new creation with a new purpose.

21st January 2024 - Luke 5: 12-26 and Leviticus 14: 1-9

This Sunday, join us as our Rector, James, continues on our journey through Luke 5, as Jesus touches the untouchables to set the guilty free; we see him perform miracles of cleansing and healing. James helps us to know this full assurance of God's forgiveness.

14th January 2024 - Luke 5: 1-11

This Sunday, join us as our Rector, James, takes us through Luke 5, as Jesus calls Simon Peter to join him, and we see this miraculous catch of fish. Here, James helps us understand the cost of following Jesus, doing the Kingdom maths, and revealing our purpose in Christ.

7th January 2024 - Luke 4: 31-44

This Sunday, join us as our Curate, James, helps us see Jesus miracles in Capernaurm through the lends of Epiphany and new beginnings, asking us whether we are amazed by Jesus' teaching, and would respond as those watching did - by leading their friends to meet Jesus.
